Every scene offers the temptation. The light would be better ten feet left. The crew could run the evolution one more time. The moment passed and it would take thirty seconds to bring it back.
We do not do it, because a recreation is fiction wearing a timestamp. The subjects know it. The crew knows it. And the first time anyone catches a staged frame, every honest frame in the archive becomes a question.
So when we miss a moment, we own the miss. A smaller record that is completely true beats a fuller one that is mostly true. Mostly true is another way of saying false.
